 Be a Buddy!

The Almaden Valley Youth Soccer League (AVYSL) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster healthful recreation and responsible social interaction through the sport of soccer.  We are currently looking for Buddies for our new TOPSoccer JWB League athletes.  The TOPSoccer JWB League is AVYSL’s new program for athletes (4 to 19 years old) with physical and/or mental disabilities. 

TOPSoccer Buddies are invaluable volunteers who participate directly with individual players or within a team with several players to enable participation in a soccer activity. The TOPSoccer buddy is not a player and does not score goals. They help the TOPSoccer player succeed and keep them as safe as possible. TOPSoccer Buddies can be a teenager or an adult. They can be a soccer player, someone who works with special needs children or someone who has no soccer experience, but a strong desire to enable children to have fun. 

We will use AVYSL’s i-volunteer system to organize our volunteer pool. 

There will be an application, selection, and training process for all volunteers working with our players.
