Yes -the buddy request process has been slightly changed from last year.

We are very proud of the results of our buddy policies and team formation procedures from last season. However, we never intended for coaches to be able to pull together 5 or 6 players of their choice. The time and effort necessary to create balanced teams was not at an acceptable level last year.

Also, some coaches got what they wanted and others did not. We value all our Team Leaders and want to be fair to everyone.

We are continuing our commitment to the creation of balanced teams, as well as giving higher priority to the requests of parents who step up in valuable volunteer roles. This year’s policies and procedures should allow us to grant all Team Leader’s mutual requests. Please just remember, we can not accommodate you requesting to pull 3 dominant players together in an age group that does not have enough dominant players to go around.

Last season we made over 170 teams and we hope that all involved realize the size of this task and can understand our desire to make it a more manageable and fair process.
