If you are interested in being a Fall Rec. Age Group Coordinator please attend our AGC training meeting (time/location TBD), where we will provide complete information and timelines for the fall season. We will also collect information from all interested parents in order to make selections of our 12 AGC positions.

AGC is the only non- team leader volunteer position that has the opportunity to request a specific Fall Rec. coach for each of your players registered for the program.

Here are some details of the AGC’s responsibilities:

Kicker’s Club (U5) Age Group Coordinator (AGC)

  1. Recruit & Confirm Coaches:

The size of this task depends on the needs of your age group. All team leaders will be confirmed by July 26th. You will be monitoring responses to an on-line survey to collect all information from team leaders. This task can be time consuming during June & July.

  1. Assign Players to Sessions:

You are given spreadsheets with all necessary info. You then communicate with the Team Leaders and assign all teams into appropriate session slots and then assign players to the teams.

  1. Attend First Sessions:

You will need to be at the first session of each group to distribute t-shirts & balls, collect paperwork, and verify attendance. (TBD- probable August 28th)

  1. Communication & Distribution Link:

This is the largest and the most on-going part of the AGC position. You will need to be checking your e-mail frequently from mid-August to mid-November in order to help the Directors communicate effectively with the Fall Rec. teams and families. The Directors often create e-mails that you will copy then tweak to conform to your age group’s needs, but you should feel comfortable writing e-mails.

You will also have team photos and trophies (or medals) delivered to your house. Most commonly the Kicker’s AGC distributes these items by bringing them to the next Kicker’s Club session. AGCs need to recollect items not picked up and make other arrangements for distribution.
