Project 40
Project 40 Now Open for Registration

AVYSL has made the commitment to bring back the Project 40 program on Sunday afternoons this fall. The Project 40 program is designed to give AVYSLs promising players the opportunity to further develop their soccer skills and understanding of the game.  The program will consist of players, grouped by age, receiving a minimum of one hour of age-appropriate training followed by a scrimmage.  Each Sunday session will last 1 hour and 15 minutes in total.

The program has been developed and will be overseen by the UK International Training Staff.  Participating players’ parents will be encouraged to assist the trainers during the Sunday sessions in order to provide additional supervision.  Volunteer parents and coaches will be instructed by the UK International Training Staff, who will demonstrate specific activities and then the coaches and/or parents will help train the players. The goal is for the volunteers to bring the knowledge of the training activities back to their teams’ practices.

The Project 40 Program cost is $40 per player.  The program is scheduled to begin Sunday, September 12th.

The sessions will be held at the following times:
  • U7 - U9 players (born between August 1, 2001 and July 31, 2004): 3:30 - 4:45 (PLEASE NOTE... FOR SEPTEMBER 12TH ONLY, THE U7-U9 SESSION WILL BE HELD 5:00 - 6:15.  FOR THE REMAINING SUNDAY SESSIONS, THEY WILL MEET 3:30 - 4:45.)
