AVYSL will create a ‘Centre Of Excellence’ for recreational players at the U8 - U14 level whom have been identified to have the attributes to be a competitive player.

• Players will be selected to attend the ‘Centre Of Excellence’ by the trainers working in the recreational program.
• Sessions will be set up Sunday evenings for these players to attend.
• These sessions will be run by Almaden FC Coaching staff.
• All players will be monitored and evaluated over the course of the program.
• Players and parents will be educated on the Almaden FC Program.
• Players may be invited to the try-outs the following year. These typically take place in either November, December or January.

This program may provide a pathway for players from the recreational league to develop and progress into the competitive program.

There are a couple of key factors in the implementation of this program (subject to approval):

• All U8 – U14 recreational teams will have a maximum of 3 players invited to the program.
• The recreational trainers are responsible for identifying these players.
• The cost of participating in the program is $50 per player.
• All invites will go out from the league the week of September 25th.
• The program will run on Sundays, 10/2 – 11/06, at Bret Harte Middle School.

Times are as follows:

• U08 : 3.30 – 4.45pm
• U09 : 3.30 – 4.45pm
• U10 : 5.00 – 6.15pm
• U12 : 5.00 – 6.15pm
• U14 : 5.00 – 6.15pm
