New Changes to the Fall Recreational Program         

These changes are a part of an evolution of our league to better meet the individual needs of our players. We have more closely aligned AVYSL with the US Youth Soccer Association’s and US Soccer Federation’s recommendations for youth soccer.

The following changes have been made to our Rec. Program for Fall 2008:

• We have reduced the number of players on a field at a time for many of our age levels;
• The u5 division will be run with a completely different format that is more age appropriate;
• The goal keeper position will be introduced in league games at the u8 age level;
• We are replacing the Academy Program with the Center of Excellence Program ;
• We will strive to assign fewer players to each team’s roster.

Having enough coaches to accommodate all players will be paramount. Please consider donating your time and enthusiasm to our league this year to make it possible for all interested players to play with us. As a league we are committed to supporting our coaches to ensure a rewarding experience for all.
