Project 40 Program 2012.

AVYSL has made the commitment to bring back the Project 40 program on Sunday afternoons this fall. The Project 40 program is designed to give AVYSL’s promising players the opportunity to further develop their soccer skills and understanding of the game.  The program will consist of players, grouped by age, receiving a minimum of one hour of age-appropriate training followed by a scrimmage.  Each Sunday session will last 1 hour and 15 minutes in total.

The purpose of the Project 40 program is to provide an opportunity for AVYSL players to receive additional training from professional coaches.

The program will be developed and overseen by the UK International Training Staff and also staff from Almaden Futbol Club (AFC). Participating players’ parents will be encouraged to assist the trainers during the Sunday sessions in order to provide adequate supervision. Volunteer parents and coaches will be instructed by the UK International Training Staff, who will demonstrate specific activities and then the coaches and/or parents will help train the players. The goal is for the volunteers to bring the knowledge of the training activities back to their teams’ practices.

Fees

The Project 40 Program cost is $40 per player.
