Each year, AVYSL in conjunction with San Jose Soccer Referee Association (SJSRA) honors those referees who have a strong work ethic, knowledge of the rules of the game and are positive role models with the Referee of the Year Award.


 

 

Through the Referee of the Year program, Almaden Valley Youth Soccer League helps foster the development these referees for future advances in officiating while utilizing them to help build the leagues referee program and contributing to the success of Almaden’s league.  

 

  

The Referee of the Year award is given in the following categories:


 

  • Novice (First year officials)

  • Youth (Officials under 18)

  • Adult (Officials over 18)


The Referee of the Year recipients are awarded for their dedication to the game, their outstanding personal accomplishments, serving as role models to other referees and players, and for their excellence as recognized by their referee peers and mentors. This year’s recipients of the 2012 referee awards are:
