Referee Entery-Level Clinic 

AVYSL is offering two entry-level clinic to allow candidates to become certified as a grade 8 USSF referee. The Grade 8 clinic consists of a total of eighteen (18) hours of instruction. Upon successful completion of the course that includes a passing score of 75 out of 100 on a written test, candidates will be register as Grade 8 Referee with the United States Soccer Federation.  

The first entry-level clinic is schedule for March 5,8,9,14,15, and 16th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Almaden Community Center on Camden Ave. You will be required to attend every evening.  CLOSED ** Please note that there isn’t many younger games in Spring therefore we encourage the younger (13 and younger) students to take the August course.

The second entry-level clinic is schedule for August 13,14,15,20,21,and 22nd from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Almaden Community Center on Camden Ave. You will be required to attend every evening.  click here to signup

The registration fee is broken into two parts.  There is a $40 check required the first night made out to CNRA.  This check covers your registration with USSF if you pass the class, otherwise, the check will be return to you if you don’t pass.  There is a $30 check also required the first night made out to AVYSL.  This is for registration of the class and IS NOT returned if you don’t pass the class.  AVYSL offers you a way to be reimbursed the $30 class fee; more information about this program will be given the first night of class.  You must have both checks the first night or you forfeit your seat.

Seat priority will be given to Almaden residents.  I will e-mail the final roster 2 weeks before the class. The roster will also include those on the waiting list.
