Almaden Soccer is delighted to announce that Tom Brough has been hired as the clubs first ever Executive Director & General Manager.
In this new role, Tom will lead the organization and oversee all aspects of the club, from our recreation and grassroots programs through our competitive and elite programs. With this appointment, the club is continuing to focus on improving our program to provide the best experience possible and outstanding opportunities for our players.
Our club has grown exponentially on and off the field over the last few years. The creation of an executive and management role, with the appointment of Tom will allow us to take the club onto the next level and realize our long term vision for the club. Tom's experience and leadership will support us to further improve our communications and operations whilst working with our Techincal department by building on a fantastic on field experience, continuing our growing reputation as one of the Bay Areas top developers of talent.
Importantly this appointment will also support our board, as we move into the final phases of planning with the San Jose School District and Pioneer High School to construct and manage a premier soccer facility for our community.
Tom has a long and established background in soccer, he not only holds a USSF B license and has been a professional coach for over 15 years, working with players at all levels of the game. He has previously served as the Youth Director at De Anza Force, overseeing a number of operational roles, as well as leading on a number of other business initiatives dedicated to the development of soccer within our community. The experience Tom is bringing to our club will be key in building a highly rewarding and productive environment for all our members, coaches and employees at Almaden Soccer.
